OPERATIONAL RESEARCH & THEORYCRAFTING

Hey, I’m Timmothy Barrett.

I test recoil curves, analyze tickrates, and break down raid mechanics so you don’t lose gear to bad data.

Over the last 9 years, I’ve spent thousands of hours theorycrafting across Tarkov wipes, Destiny Day-One raid races, and Classic WoW pre-BiS itemization. Most online wikis copy outdated patch notes, so I partnered with the engineers at hingelabs.co to pull raw weapon spread datasets and server telemetry directly.

Core Disciplines & Focus

Every article on this platform is backed by local testing, frame-by-frame recoil checks, and client-server desync tests. Here is where most of my research time goes:

1. Ballistics & Penetration Curves (EFT / Warzone)

Armor degradation formulas, blunt damage ratios, and sub-tick visual recoil offsets.

2. Itemization & Stat Weights (WoW Forever / Classic)

Pre-BiS gear simulations, hit cap thresholds, and consumables ROI for 40-man progression.

3. Extraction Economics (Marathon & Arc Raiders)

Loot risk-vs-reward modelling and weapon handling telemetry on upcoming engines.

Raid Mechanics on My Bench

On the WoW side, I mostly theorycraft raid mechanics and leveling efficiency. A boss ability gets broken into timers, positioning rules and failure points, then I check whether a simple assignment fixes it. Dungeons make a handy test bench for rotations and cooldown order. I keep alts around to try builds without risking my main. Gold matters only as fuel for consumables, and I note what I spend so my advice stays honest.

  • Break the boss into timers and failure points
  • Test the idea on an alt first
  • Log consumable spend before recommending anything
